On the 25th May the new EU Data Protection Regulation will come into force, replacing the relevant national legislation of the member countires.
Our company was represented at the GDPR Data Protection Conference organized by the Transport World on April 12, where, in addition to discussing
the general amendments to the law, industry-specific information management changes were also consulted in logistics and forwarding practices. The GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) seeks to create a harmonised data protection law framework across the EU and aims to give citizens back the control of their personal data, whilst imposing strict rules on those hosting and 'processing' this data, anywhere in the world. The Regulation also introduces rules relating to the free movement of personal data within and outside the EU.
