According to the report of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, 1.3 billion tons of food is lost or wasted every year around the globe and of course all the resources needed to produce it. From those, 90 million tons of food surplus is created by the European Union and as for Hungary, the avarage amount of food thrown to trash per capita is up to 40 kilograms a year. The Hungarian Food Bank Association is a non-profit organization that works to make a link between surplus food and people in need in Hungary in order to help reduce poverty, hunger and malnutrition. They achieve, that the players of the food chain -with or without the Food Bank- offer the surplus food for the needy instead of eliminating it. K&V Logistic Solutions helps the work of the association and make sure that the donations reach people in a safe and convenient way. Since the Hungarian Food Bank was founded they distributed 50 000 tons of food to charites, reached more than 300 000 people in need with the partnership of 350 non-governmental organizations and
